In order to have a strong immune system, eating healthy food and working out is a part of our lives that we cannot avoid. However, it can be a difficult thing to work out without going to the gym or going outside.

Here are the tips to exercising at home:

Work outΒ with your TV

Nowadays, you don’t need to get a Fitness CD just to work out. There are a wide variety of choices that you can take to work out. The first and foremost choices are the online fitness sources. Most would go to youtube for fitness content. Some of the channels you can wade through include HASfit, POPSUGAR Fitness, Fitness Blender, BeFit and Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home.

Use Your Body Weight

Not a fan of using tin cans, flour bags and water bottles in your exercise routine? Then you can definitely use your own body weight in order to give yourself some exercise. If you are able to squat comfortably at home, then you are also able to do other movements for exercise. Use the YouTube videos mentioned before to squat, practice your planks, perfect your sit ups, lunge or do press-ups. But it’s also important to remember that these should be done more than usual to get the same burn when working out from home.

The Stairs are the Next Best Thing

Other than using chairs and ottomans for exercise props, the stairs are the perfect exercise prop that will make you burn calories even at home. You can start slow by taking ten to fifteen minutes in the morning, and doing it as much as you can during lunch and evening to see how much you can do. Or else, you can start by going ten steps for the first try and increasing it as time goes by. Be careful not to trip and use the banister for support where needed.

Practice Yoga

Yoga routines are not only meant for the body, but also the mind. There are different types of yoga that you can do depending on your age, usage and abilities. You can have the option of merely stretching your body or more intense movement to burn calories. Stretching your body will help avoid stiff joints and maintain good blood circulation. On the other hand, there are numerous types of yogas from the more dynamic, workout types, to the more steady Vinyasa flows.

Gamify your Fitness

Love playing games? Then maybe tricking yourself into exercise is one of the best ways to get you fit. These days, you have a choice of using Nintendo Switch or using Nintendo Wii. Find and choose a game that you like, and we guarantee you will be sweating it out by the end of the game! Playing games are also more fun than those who may not be a fan of working out.
