7 Ways to Radiate Positive Energy

For some of us, positivity comes naturally. But for those who don’t have positivity as their go-to state, it is possible to learn how to be more positive energy. Once you have that positive vibes radiating from you, you will attract more positive things as well.

The reason is simply because people respond well to positivity. When you enter the meeting room with smile and confidence, you do not simply receive looks and stares but you also receive respect and warm invites. You will also see the world as a place full of opportunity, and you have that chance to make your goals or dreams come true. If your internal is negative-based, it’s likely you’ll see the world through tainted lens: it’s blurred, uncertain, and pessimist.

In short, the more positivity you can project, the better you’ll feel about yourself and your surroundings.
However, it does not mean that your life will go downhill if you are not happy 24/7. It is impossible to be happy all the time, because in life we are bound to face obstacles and challenges. But when you can locate your “positivity button” in you, you can turn on those vibes when it’s necessary such as during networking events, job interviews, and other opportunities.

Here is how you can radiate the positive vibes from within:

Separate fact from fiction

Most of your negative thoughts are just thoughts, not facts. When you find yourself believing the negative and pessimistic things your inner voice says, stop what you’re doing and write down your thoughts. Once you’ve taken a moment to slow down the negative momentum of your thoughts, you’ll be more rational and clear-headed. You’ll be able to identify and label your thoughts (especially negative ones) as thoughts by separating them from the facts. It will help you to escape the cycle of negativity and move toward a more positive outlook.

Say affirmations each morning

Negative thoughts and problems in life cannot drag you down. When you are trying to be positive, you have to remind yourself daily that you want to project the world. Every day before stepping out from your room, stand in front of the mirror and say to yourself that your main goal is to seize the day without regrets. By doing this daily, you start to make positivity and cheerfulness that your mind will naturally gravitate towards, even if you’re not trying to.

Focus your energy

Energy goes where attention flows. When you desire to give off better energy, you must first feel your inner self with positive thoughts, words, and emotions. Stress drains you of your energy and often sucks the life out of you. By focusing your thoughts, you keep your mind centered on the goal rather than the problem. Your mind will also eventually focus on the direction of the solution rather than on the problem.

Find what’s positive on others

When talking to someone, try to focus on something that makes them great. When you focus on something that a person does exceptionally well, it makes them feel great, in addition to basking in the positive vibes you give off. If you can find something amazing about them and remind them of it, they naturally desire to be in your presence more because they feel you awaken something positive within them.

Good body language

When you’re crossing your arms, slouching, or putting hands in your pockets, you’re unconsciously giving off a vibe that you are being closed off. That type of body language signs that you are not engaged to the moment, not flexible, and giving off negative vibes. Stand with your shoulders back, uncross your arms, and face whoever you’re talking to. That way you’ll radiate more positive vibes and likability.

Give thanks

Appreciate the things and people around you. Be grateful for having them in your life. This will help remind you how blessed you are and will in turn create a positive energy. Share this energy by always making it a point to show your gratitude to people who have helped you or have made you happy in any kind of way.

Take care of yourself

Take time out of every day or at least every week to nurture and pamper yourself. Groom yourself, do your hobby, buy or cook nice food, and entertain yourself with the things you like. It could also be as simple as dancing alone to that latest dance track you’ve just discovered. When you take the time to relax, you allow your minds and body to repair, which gives you an edge when tackling the challenges you face in life.
