Aarti Garde has been a member of the Indonesian Heritage Society since 4 years, and is an avid student of Indonesian culture. After participating in a number of study groups over the years, she took the plunge to complete the Museum Tour Guide Course with the Heritage Society in September this year.
She feels proud of the fact that the museum has such a big connection with her home country, India. Aarti finds the Ethnography Section ‘fun’, and the Treasure Room ‘thrilling’, but she is partial to the scientific contribution of the archipelago, showcased in the ground floor of the New Wing. Her fondest hope is to reach out to as many people as possible and share her love of the Museum Nasional.
