This year on January 26, India celebrates its 75th Republic Day.

Every year, Republic Day is celebrated in India on 26 January with immense pride & happiness throughout the country.  India became Independent from British rule on 15th August 1947 and the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January, 1950 as a Sovereign, Democratic and Republic state. Upholding the values of justice, equality and liberty, and endeavors to promote fraternity.

This day is marked the salute of 21 guns and the unfurling of the Indian National flag by the President of India.

The evolution of India from a British colony to a sovereign, democratic and secular nation was certainly historical. It was a long journey that started with the conceptualization of the vision in 1930 to its actual comprehension in 1950.

The day marks the celebration of the empowerment of Indian citizens to select their government and the coming into existence of the Constitution of India. The President of India unfurls the Indian flag, presents awards to the country’s brave citizens, and pays homage to the courageous soldiers who lost their lives in wars. On this day President of India addresses the nation. It also shows the huge image of the country’s rich cultural heritage and military prowess with a massive parade held at Rajpath in New Delhi.
