Indoindians Artist Spotlight Jumana Qayyumi
Jumana Qayyumi graduated as a textile designer from Sir J.J School of arts (Mumbai) in 2010, where she stood 1st. She is currently living in Jakarta with her extremely supportive husband and two adorable children.
As her specialization was not in painting it was difficult for Jumana to start. Her college friends of painting department helped her regarding the supplies and many other questions. And that’s how my journey as an artist started.

Jumana believes it is important to be original and stick to your roots, nothing is possible without hard work, determination and your passion to make your dreams come true.
A versatile artist who likes to work with various mediums like oil, acrylic, watercolours and textile. She likes to paint realistic paintings and at times depiction of her moods in the form of beautiful inspiration from nature ending up by getting recorded as an expression or story on the canvas. For Jumana shade, light-source, composition and detailing is very important to create a feeling with paintings. Keeping nature created by Allah as the biggest inspiration she likes to capture that moment in the form of art.

Jumana has participated in many Art exhibitions like India Art Festival, Mumbai Art Fair, Dubai Art Festival, Radiant Arts etc and also created collections, commissioned works and conducted workshops for elders and teenagers in community institutes
She says ‘I am so grateful to be here painting and exploring new techniques, reviving my own learning and growing as an artist, I feel learning is a never ending journey. ‘
