Booster Vaccination Is Available, Check Your Tickets Now!

Starting from Wednesday (12/1/2022), the booster vaccination program or the third dose of COVID-19 vaccination began to be implemented in Indonesia. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday announced free booster vaccinations for the public.

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the booster vaccination is intended for people aged 18 years and over, with priority for the elderly and immunocompromised patients, who have also received a complete dose of vaccination or 2 injections and a minimum of 6 months after the injection of two doses.

For people who are included in the booster vaccination priority group, they can check whether their names have been registered to get tickets and vaccination schedules via the PeduliLindungi.id website and the PeduliLindung application.

The booster vaccine that will be given to the public is a combination or different from the vaccine that has been injected previously.

If the first and second doses of vaccination use Sinovac, then the booster vaccination uses half-dose of Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccine.

Meanwhile, if the first and second doses of vaccination are using AstraZeneca, then half the dose of Moderna is given for the booster.

“This is an initial combination of booster vaccines that we will give based on the availability of existing vaccines, as well as research results that have been approved by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan) and Indonesian Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (ITAGI). Later it can develop, depending on the results of new research that comes in and also the availability of existing vaccines,” he said.

For people who want to know if their name has been registered to get a ticket and schedule for the booster vaccine, they can check it directly on the PeduliLindung.id website and on the PeduliLindung application.

Here’s how to check vaccination status and tickets via the web:

Enter “Name Lengkap” (Full Name) and “Nomor Induk Kependudukan (NIK)” (Population Identification Number)
Then click “Periksa” (Check)
When checked through the PeduliLindung application, the following steps must be taken:

Open the PeduliLindung application, log in with the registered account
Click the “Profile” menu and select “Vaccination Status & COVID-19 Test Results”
Then the booster vaccination status and schedule will appear in the account. To check vaccine tickets, go to the “History and Vaccine Tickets” menu

3. Priority groups who have not yet received tickets, can come directly to the nearest vaccination site

For priority groups of the elderly and PBI who have not received tickets and a booster vaccination schedule in the PeduliLindung application, they can come directly to the health facility or nearest vaccination place by bringing their ID card and proof of vaccination doses 1 and 2.

“Make sure not to use someone else’s NIK and cellphone numbers when registering for booster vaccinations, to avoid administrative problems in the future,” said Spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi.
