Happiness Tips: if you don't know this it might be making your life MUCH harder than it needs to be

By Carl Massy: “Everything you want is just outside your comfort zone” – Robert Allen

I have found a lot of truth in that statement. If we want something more than what we have now, then it makes sense that we need to be more than what we are now, in order to achieve it. That is; we have to grow.

Tip 1: an incredible method on how to overcome ‘fear’…

I am always on the lookout to find ways that people can use to achieve the bigger things in life. Which inevitably involves facing and overcoming your real or imagined FEARS. My passion is to help people not only have a ‘good’ life, but to have a (insert expletive) GREAT life!ย

So enter left of stage the ‘kaizen’ way. Now you might have heard how this is applied to business…but what Iย ย  will share with you is how you can use the same principles to overcome big obstacles and fears in your own life (where it really matters most). A certain psychologist has applied this principle with amazing results.

Tip 2: we (me included) all need to remember this

One thing I often find myself getting caught up in is what my life will be like ‘when I have, do or achieve X, Y or Z.’ Now I am a huge believer in the need for future goals that bring purpose and meaning into our lives. But that is only half of the dealio. The other half is remembering that everything we are doing (right now) is actually our life.

I remember working in Doha, Qatar and walking along the waterside and thinking to myself about what I was going to do after I finished this contract. When it suddenly came to me that my actual life was living where I was living, and drilling down even further my ‘life’ was actually walking along the seaside as the sun was going down.

The idea is to strike up a good balance between planning for your FUTURE (and doing the visualising that goes with that) and enjoying the PRESENT moment. Because if you spend too much time thinking about later, you will not get the most out of your current experience, plus at a very very practical level, you will tend to trip over, drop thing, mess things up, say the wrong thing, etc. because you are not paying attention to what is right in front of you.

In Summary

Make a very specific point of reminding yourself when you are at work, or driving to work, or doing the grocery shopping, or taking the trash out; that this is your life. Right now. Don’t wait for tomorrow to be happy. Take a few big breathes and enjoy yourself right now…he says before leaning back, taking a few deep breaths and looking outside the window. That feels pretty damn good. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have an awesome day too!
Cheers,
