Anjali Agarwal was one of the chefs at Indoindians 3rd What’s Up Chef event. She demonstrated making spinach muthia – a healthy take on the traditional lauki muthia.
Spinach Muthia Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Cup Wheat flour
¼ Cup Gram Flour
30gr Oil for dough
2tsp Ginger Paste
2tsp Garlic paste
2tsp Green Chili paste
¼ Cup Sour Curd
2tsp Jaggery
1tsp table Salt
½tsp Red Chili
½tsp Cumin powder
½ tsp Coriander powder
¼tsp Turmeric
1 Pinch Asafoetida powder
1 tsp Dry coriander green leaves
2tsp Fenugreek leaves
1 cup Spinach leaves
Method:
- Make a dough mixing all these ingredients.
- Knead the dough with the help of hot water
- Make sure the dough is thick
- Shape the dough in your palm
- Steam it for 30mins
- Cool it
- Shallow fry with coriander leaves
