Good Morning Jakarta!!!!!!!
Mornings are the best time of the day, and I invite you to thinking the same, as mornings normally set the tone for the entire day.
We hear this statement many times I am not a morning person…… well its God’s grace that we see a new morning so that’s the first point that we need to address……. A happy morning is a fantastic day so always remember not to get up from the wrong side of your bed- a cliche but effective – hit the right side of the bed, put your best foot forward and get set to go
Committing to a few positive morning rituals each day can absolutely change your life in just about every way imaginable. The first Mantra is to do exactly what works well for you – various people have different things that make them happy- whether it’s the perfect cup of Chai, any devotional music or others, seeing your child smile at you and kiss you, playing with a pet, or meditating, it’s a very personal choice and for most people it makes or breaks their day, so follow whatever makes you happiest.
Even if we have had a sleepless night the morning ritual takes care of most of our angst—- remember ‘Happiness is a state of mind and the feeling of well being’ and we alone are responsible for giving ourselves the happiness we deserve.
Nutritious food and drink is the most important energy resource that we give to our body.
Start your morning with a glass of Magic Water. We have ideally been in bed for 8 hours so the first thing that our body needs in the morning to get going right is hydration.
I am listing a few Magic Waters- very effective and simple easy to do
Lemon Water:
Drink a glass of warm water with lemon. The citric acid in the lemon helps enhance enzyme function, which stimulates the liver and helps with detoxification.
Lemon water is also great for flushing out toxins that have been in your system helps your metabolism. The vitamin C content also helps build your immunity
Honey Lemon Water:
If you have an issue with the tartness of lemon, add a bit of honey to sweeten things up.
It is advisable to replace honey with sugar to sweeten your drinks and foods because honey is a healthier sweetener and contains amino acids, minerals and vitamins that help in the metabolism of cholesterol and fat hence preventing any weight gain.
Cinnamon Water
Add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon to warm water and drink it, it has amazing slimming effects as well
Fenugreek Seed Water
Soak a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in a glass of water and refrigerate overnight. Strain it in the morning, warm the water and drink it, this takes care of any bloating in the body
You can alternate one Magic Water every week so that our body keeps getting a new dose and does not become immune to one type of Magic Water.
The Magic Water will keep you energized, alkalized and hydrated.
Exercise
Training and working out are one of the things that one must follow in the morning at first before breakfast.
Morning is a great time to go for a run too. A 5 minute stretch in the morning can wake your muscles up and get them ready for the day ahead. You should always modify any workout to your own abilities, and search until you find one that resonates with you.
You can also follow a yoga routine if you feel inclined.
Meditation
Meditation is a great way to start the day and strengthen the relationship between your mind and body.
So here is a small improvisation that we can bring while meditating. Try simple Tea Meditation. All you need is to relish the process. Take your time making your tea with mindfulness- heat up your water, get your cup out, pour the water, and sift the tea. Then, take your tea and sit down in a quiet place with it. Drink your tea like there’s no tomorrow. Drinking this tea is the most important thing in the world.
There’s no right way to meditate, so if you’ve tried specific methods and didn’t really like it, it’s time to develop your own personal style. Choose a position that you find comfortable, and decide if you’d like music or not. Just sitting and listening to the silence can be enough for most.
Healthy Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it helps us concentrate, focus, and be productive as it is the Fuel that affects our energy levels. Try whole-wheat toast with sliced bananas and peanut butter or an egg white omelet with diced vegetables.
- Fruits
The best time to eat fruits is first thing in the morning after a glass of magic water.
When you have a fruit the digestive process works very quickly and our body uses different enzymes to digest the fruit. The simple sugars contained in fruit need time to be completely absorbed by your body.
When fruits are eaten alone, your stomach can more easily process all of the nutrients, fibre and the simple sugars contained in the fruit. This is the ‘proper way’ to benefit from the fruit you eat.
- Dry Fruits
Dry Fruits are nuts and dried out fruits and they have a lot of health benefits If you do eat fruit/ dry fruit on an empty stomach, you will gain the proper nutrients that fruit – nature’s perfect gift – will offer to your health and well being.
You will avoid most digestive problems, feel energized, promote weight loss and you’ll look and feel fantastic because your body will be fully absorbing all the vitamins, fibre and healthy carbohydrates that it needs to function in good health.
Alternate between fresh fruits and dry fruits; to optimize the Advantages and keep the body system guessing what is coming next so that it does not get adjusted to the point of immunity.
- Whole-Grains
Whole-grain foods are full of fibre, vitamins and minerals. Some excellent choices include whole-grain breads, oatmeal, whole-grain cereals, low-fat granola or whole-grain muffins. Whole grains are rich in the B vitamins thiamine, riboflavin and niacin, which provide energy.
- Protein
Along with a boost of carbohydrates in the morning, consume protein to help keep you feeling full and well fed.
- Fibre
Fibre from fruits, vegetables and whole grains is important for digestion. Insoluble fibre helps prevent constipation and can be found in whole grains, seeds, fruits and vegetables. Choose whole fruits over fruit juices, as whole fruit contains more fibre.
- Fat
Fat are essential in your meals, regardless if you’re on a diet or not.
But don’t go overboard with your breakfast; just eat the amount you need depending on your level of activity. It’ll help you feel full longer and give you the calories you’ll burn off later in the day.
Listening to happy or uplifting music can give you the right mindset for the upcoming day. It’ll motivate you to get things done with a smile on your face and to just have an enjoyable day all throughout.
