Originating from India, papri chaat is a delicious and health snack sold by street vendors. Papri are crisps made from wheat dough. The papri is then mixed with various ingredients like boiled potatoes, chickpeas, yogurt and more. To top it all off, there will be a dressing of spices called chaat masala. chickpeas boiled or canned | ||
papris | ||
yogurt, well beaten | ||
tamarind chutney | ||
salt | ||
chilli powder | ||
roasted and ground cumin seeds |
Directions :
1. | Place about 5-6 papris on the serving plate and top with 2 tbsp of the potatoes and the chickpeas. |
2. | Spoon over 3-4 tbsp of yogurt and tamarind chutney. |
3. | Finish with a generous sprinkle of the spices. |
4. | Papri chaat should be assembled and served immediately. The toppings could vary depending on the individual taste. |
