Rather than just eat traditional vegetarian momos, adding spice will add a punch to the dish. Especially with Tibetian hot sauce, the momos will become more flavorful!
Spicy Vegetarian Filling Ingredients:
- 25 gr Chinese Taro Root
- 20 gr Chinese Cabbage
- 20 gr carrot
- 3 gr Shiitake Mushroom
- 25 gr Bengkuang/Jitama Root
- 3 gr Mushroom Seasoning
- 20 gr Sugar
- 1 gr White pepper
- 2 gr Salt
- 10 ml Sesame oil
- 50 ml Cooking oil
- 5 gr Potato Starch
- 50 gr spinach
- 3gr chilli oil
Directions:
- Cut all vegetable into shreds. Deep fry vegetables until shredded taro becomes crispy.
- Boil all shredded vegetable then drain water
- heat up the wok, add cooking oil and shredded vegetables to stir fry
- Add all seasoning and sesame oil to stir fried together
- Add chili oil and stir fry for awhile
- Dilute potato starch with water to thicken, set aside until chilled
Momo Skin Ingredients:
- 225 gr Hong kong flour
- 75 gr Bread flour
- 20 ml frying oil
- 150 ml hot water
Directions:
- Mix salt and flour together
- Boil water, then mix into the flour until even
- cover dough with cling film and set aside to rest for 30 minutes
