Check for Hidden Spy Cameras During Travels
Travel junkies, beware! Your love of adventure may trump all the fears that normally face while travelling on foreign land, and this is one of the instances in which you have to be more careful.
Hotels, motels and such may seem like one of the safest places when you are travelling. That is not the case as it poses as much a danger as any place. Hidden cameras are being found in different locations from airbnb stays in Ireland to established hotels in South Korea.ย Goes to show that this occurrence can happen anywhere and you may not realize when you are having the horrifying experience itself.
Keep yourself safeย by checking your hotel room in the first day before using it. There are several things that you can try from performing a check on the whole room especially back ends of books, light bulbs, house plants, alarm clocks, smoke detectors and areas that would give a good view. You should be especially aware of strange devices that are present, shine of camera lenses and tiny holes. Second, tourists can try turning off the light and shining a flashlight instead. Even flashes from phones are sufficient enough to find a reflection in the room that proves to be a camera lens.
If you are worried for infrared cameras, then you should use the front phone cameras which have IR filter fitted in. With luck, there will be IR illumination to show night vision cameras. Otherwise, buying a bug detector can signal when there are any radio devices in the room or install apps on your phone that can scan for hidden camera.
When all that is done, you can safely enjoy your stay and travel at the same time!
